The transparent architecture and the abundant windows turn the building into a work of art.   The tea-room on the roof and the diagonal overhead walkways are characteristic elements. The building's architectural integrity therefore to be fully respected.
The renovation started in 1999 and was carried out by the Maatschap Van Nelle Ontwerpfabriek, comprising the partners Property Conversion, Projectontwikkelingsbureau voor Bouwnijverheid (POB) and Kondor Wessels Projecten.
